As a mama of 3 (that have grown up what seems way too fast,) I know first hand how precious these early years truly are. For some, this is your first baby, and you're filled with all the anticipation and excitement that comes along with entering this new season of life. You somehow become this new version of yourself that you didn't even know could exist, yet at the same time you can't even remember life before you became a mother. For some, you have a toddler in tow, in the thick of potty training while awaiting a new sister a brother...how will this change our family, will we be able to love another as much, will they love each other, will we ever sleep again? And yet, somehow your heart expands even wider and your home is filled with giggles and toys and you realize you actually don't need that much sleep anymore. Your toddler has really stepped into their role as your personal assistant and older sibling extraordinaire, and you are so proud! Authentic, true, cozy. This newborn session is shot in the comfort of your own home, using your nursery, bedroom and your loving arms as the backdrop. Best if booked within first month of birth.

Classic Session Fee

This session is best booked within the first 14 days of birth and includes a lifestyle family session, as well as an additional 60 minutes of 'studio style' posing of just your newborn.

Collections
10-14 days after our session together, we will meet for an online ordering appointment to view your entire gallery together. During this appointment we will narrow down your favorites, discuss custom edits, and walk through the entire selection process to curate a collection of photos that you absolutely love. It is always our hope that your artwork will be enjoyed in print as well as digitally. We have created collections to include tangible heirlooms showcasing your artwork. Each image you order will be master retouched to the highest level and ready to print up to size 16x20.

FAQ
What is the difference between and Lifestyle and Classic Session?
Both sessions are identical and will capture images of your family as well as your baby alone, using your home as the backdrop. The only difference is with the Classic session, there is additional time to capture those very clean and simple, all white, snuggly newborn images. I bring a beanbag setup with backdrops and blankets and spend extra time focusing on those photos. These particular photos are best captured when your infant is under 2 weeks old when they're extra sleepy. What is the day of the session like?
On the session day, whether you choose Lifestyle or Classic, I come to your home, typically around 10:00 am with everything we need for our time together. When I first arrive I like to take a little house tour to see where the best light is and for you to show me the areas you'd like to shoot in.
Your only job is to have baby fed and in the outfit that you'd like to start in by the time I arrive.
No pressure at all to have your home spotless, just tidy up the rooms you want to shoot in; master bedroom, nursery, living room, any room with great light. The flow of the session is very laid back, allowing your baby (and toddlers) to take feeding or changing breaks when needed.
Lifestyle sessions typically last 2 hours, and Classic 3-4 hours.
We will go over more in detail how to prepare during our pre-session phone call or email.
What should we wear?
When preparing outfits, simple and neutral/pastel colors are best for parents as well as baby. Think casual but 'put together;' mom barefoot in a simple dress, dad in jeans or khakis with sleeves rolled up or a plain henley or t-shirt, baby all snuggly and cozy in a swaddle or simple onesie. I have a collection of swaddles, or the plain muslin ones are lovely.
If you have special heirlooms, bows or outfits that you'd like photographed, have them set aside ahead of time for me if possible, I love to incorporate anything significant to you.

What happens next?
As you prepare for our session, begin thinking about how and where you'd like to showcase your artwork; a wall gallery up the staircase, a linen bound album on the bookshelf or coffee table, a desk print for dad's office, large print over your bed or sofa...
About 7-10 days after our session, we will set up a time for your reveal session via zoom. At this session we will go thru your gallery together and I will walk you thru our collection options, artwork suggestions and album layouts. The gallery will remain live for 1 week after our viewing session and you may place your order within that time frame.
When should I book a session?
I take a limited number of sessions each month to ensure flexibility, so it's never too soon to reserve your session. If you are ready to move forward and book your newborn session, I'd love to set up a time for us to chat by phone and go over any questions, expectations and get to know each other a little better. From there I will send you a booking proposal and we are all set!! I look forward to working with you and your family very soon.
